I know numerous people who have said not to have as bulky head/base images. Well, I think it would look better if for the base image you removed the bottom part, where the lights are hanging from, and just keep the forum name part with the blue background.
So the edges would come into the border for that instead. Get what I'm saying?

Agree with stinky here. And honestly, if people want to nitpick at the "bulkiness" of the head/base, then they really need to find something else to do.

I for one disliked the head and base bulkiness at the first five mins of seeing them, but then liked them, and still do. <3

Agree with stinky here. And honestly, if people want to nitpick at the "bulkiness" of the head/base, then they really need to find something else to do. I love how the forum asks for feedback, and then says crap like that.  Really, just giving my honest opinion, and if you really think that because of giving a suggestion I need to find something else to do, then you should just remove this board, because honestly, you won't get anywhere with your attitude. |

That suggestion was given by a few people, more people like it then dislike it, so we wont change it, we say that every time, the board is for suggestions on how to improve the forum, not how to change the design for one members preference.

I'm all for feedback and suggestions, but the bulkiness of the base image is quite trivial. The head/base images really wouldn't look better if they were thinned down. Don't think I haven't tried. And for suggestions, we really aren't looking for opinion-based design suggestions, because the design isn't going to be changed, unless there's usability problems. The staff has put months into designing this skin and if there's anything that they think could look better, it would've been done already. |

I personally like the whole look of the head and base images and I don't think that it would look good at all to do what your suggesting. The bulkiness is your friend not your food.

A thing I like about the Head/Base images is how they inserted the grid lines in it.
