Let's just say, not the best.
Firstly, General Discussion with Critique? What makes critique a general topic? It's art, should be design. Secondly, battles as a sub-board of contests? I think contests as more of a general subject. Maybe make design battles a board of its own in that category. Then, why leave General Discussion in a category to itself? It's a community thing, discussing whatever on earth you want with people. Put it up there.
And maybe a SOTW board for the designers here?

Critique isn't art. You can post anything you want in it. Lyrics, poems, ect. I think that is pretty general thus why it stays in the general cat.
Until we get enough active members who are interested in battles, we will leave it as a sub-board.
Every board has an SOTW. We are trying to be innovative and original. The problem with SOTW's is people lose interest after a while unless it's freestyle. We will run a few SOTW's through the contest board though.

We will run a few SOTW's through the contest board though. Everybody board has a welcome board, a general discussion, etc. You can't be ENTIRELY unique. A good idea can be used by anybody, which I think SOTW would be, with enough talented designers around. The rest, all right, I'll accept your arguments. When you said critique isn't art, I'll assume you mean design because art has many forms. Maybe, based on that, have a category for art. Critique, Design, Media, stuff like that. Real arts. |

Those are all valid suggestions. I'd probably ask the same things. I'm not trying to argue.  I meant to say Critique isn't necessarily art. My bad. SOTW is a good idea and it can be popular based on how you run it. We will definitely run a few of them. Having an SOTW board won't work out in the long run. People will lose interest. Like I said, we are trying to stray away from the pack, which is why we are thinking of newer, better contests. |
