Who else is annoyed by iTunes' everyday updates to a new version? I open my iTunes about once every 2-3 days to update my iPod and put new songs on, etc. Each time I am asked to install 7.4 or some crap like that. So sure, the easy thing would be to just ignore it right? Wrong. They cock-block and iTunes won't even read your iPod without the latest version. It's so annoying.
Are there any ways around iTunes with an iPod?

iTunes really doesn't update that often. Maybe once a month or two months.
However apple is a great company, not like windows.
They wont make up upgrade unless its necessary.
Every upgrade is a good thing, so I welcome them. Because that means they are getting better soft wear for me, and I have no problem with that. Plus some of the upgrades are very neat, and useful if you use iTunes everyday as a media player.

Updates are annoying.

I hate updates when they are unecessary, and iTunes doesn't even tell you what the update does, they just say "LOLLOL UPGRAED TO 7.0.0.0.2.05.6.0.A.q.315" Yes, there is an A and a q in there. xD

But I don't think it'll not let you update your iPod. Unless you're way back on the version of iTunes, like 5.3 or 6.2.

But seriously, try listening to a few bands/songs I have posted. Then you will know you are wrong. And I have never seen a version of anything so long. I have the strange feeling you are making that update number up. But I don't think it'll not let you update your iPod. Unless you're way back on the version of iTunes, like 5.3 or 6.2. Well Itunes and Ipod updates are different. I've never had it force either on me. I always just say no.

I get those popups when I open iTunes. Therefore, I usually just keep iTunes open when I put my computer into sleep and it stays open when I go back to it, just pauses the songs.
I don't have much of an issue with it.
