Okay, I noticed that on this site there is a Points thing on everybody's user and I was wondering what that is. What is it for? Also, how is it put on the User's id in ADMIN.

It's a JS code put into the headers and footers in the Admin Panel. You can find different types of Point Systems in databases across proboards.
The way they work varies depending on the way the coder coded it. Some you have to edit to give/take points within the given users profile. Others gradually add up points on the users profile depending on how ever many posts that user has. (Ex. for every post, the user gets 3 points)
Look around code databases within proboards to find one you like. I think we may have one in ours.

Okay, sounds good, Thanks. I was wondering, If I put one in my ProBoard, would I be able to edit points, add for Contest victories etc.?

I went and looked, all I found was Money, is there a way to change Money to Points?

Most of the time, there's a part of the code you can edit what it's called. (Money, points, etc.) And if it's in a part of the code that you aren't allowd to edit, get permission from the creator to edit it yourself or even better, see if he/she will edit it for you. But usually, it's available to the public for editing. |
