What do you look for in a community?

It's as simple as the title...
What do you look for in a forum community?
Does the community have to have a sense of humour, and not be too strict? Or maybe you prefer it where they are strict and if a noob makes a spammy post or two, they get banned..?


Personally, I like a community where the staff can always have a laugh..

I look for a place of commitment; a staff I can rely on. I look for a place that's fair. None of that, "i'm a mod now, i'm above you" or "i'm an admin, I can come control every aspect of what the mod is doing." More than anything, though, I like a place where I can tell someone "above me" that they're wrong and not get banned.

Community in general...just has to be fun.

I usually look for a laid back community. I can be a sarcastic bastard, so I'm looking for people who won't take offense to that. People who can also BE sarcastic bastards are even better.

A place where people can actually take jokes. Spamming a little is fine, as long as it's done in the name of entertainment for others to read.

Um...a place where the staff aren't asses.

No seizure-inducing skins though.

And of course, activity; because, contrary to popular belief, I actually don't like talking to myself.

rofl the thing is though, they didn't use to be like that, it's since a few others have left. I used to staff DI lol.
