Have you ever completed one?
A friend of mine went to New York last week and is the North Amercian champion for a 2x2x2 and is Canadian champion for 3x3x3.
Myself figured out the 2x2 easily but the 3x3 I needed help. I got the first layer by myself though.

I'm best at a 1*1*1 cube (<- Link). I once solved one in no time.

I was thinking about buying a 1x1x1 but it looked a bit too challenging. Now that I know how, though, I might pick one up! =)
But yeah, I completed a 3x3x3 once, on a roadtrip to my grandparent's trailer. Took me the whole 2 hours plus another 10 or 15 minutes in the car. I suck at rubik's cubes.
