Why is it when someone gets shot in the leg, we hear nothing about it, but when a celebrity trips over a twig and catches herself on an oak tree, everyone has to know?  Just figured i'd start this thread after I found a few articles on Jerry Seinfeld "narrowly escaping death." Click. Though this case is more understandable, you can see even in this article the completely irrelevant cue of "co-writer and co-producer of Bee Movie." |

First off, why is this important enough to make it to busy sites when IN THE TITLE it says Unharmed after Car accident. Yes it may have been a car accident, and wow, its a celebrity, but there's other PEOPLE who die from car accidents every day. Shouldn't they be on country-wide newscasts too?

The news is a business. They make money of celebrities, so they focus on them. It's really that simple.
