Addict can be pronounced two ways: [n. ad-ikt; v. uh-dikt] Every time I read it I'm unsure how to say it in my head, because I don't know the proper pronounceation. ad-ikt, sounds like "at it" or "attic", whereas uh-dikt sounds like "A dick". Please unconfuse me. Thanks. Edit: Shit I posted this is design. Someone move this to general plox plox  |

Why don't the admin's ever come on during school hours? I'm sure they would know. The real question is weather it is a noun or a verb. Looks like a verb to me. Therefore, according to the dictionary, the correct pronceation is ad-ikt. Btw, why is this in the design board. |

Looks like a noun to me, unless when u say: Addicted, I think know u can say it's a verb....

Say this sentence out loud: "That guy is a Drug Addict" How did you say it? I bet it was ad-ikt. So it should be the same for web Addict. |

I say it as neither..
I would typically say it as "Add" and then "ickt", as in "tick" without the 't' at the beginning, but with it at the end. Make sense?
