So what are your favorite bands? We've gone over genres, albums, etc. but I'm surprised no one's brought up bands.
For me, Pearl Jam is my all-time #1, no question about it. Saw them live twice; freaking amazing.
For other favorites, it really depends on what I'm into at the moment, cause I tend to listen to one genre for a while and then switch to a different genre.

I don't have an all time favourite. But one's I have loved for about 6yrs now are New Found Glory. I have liked Linkin Park for a while, since their first album release, then I went off them 'cos of their next album, then got back into them with their "Minutes to Midnight" album. I also love Paramore. And lastly, I used to like InMe, until my mate played their songs over and over and over and over, which got annoying, so I went off them, then I was reintroduced to them by .sWift and really like them now woot.. Those are the 4 I listen to mostly...

1) Rush - saw them in July. 2nd best thing to ever happen to me. Their music is just so amazing, it's incredible how a band that's been around over 30 years can still produce music and have it sound good. Best drummer, best bassist, amazing guitarist (in my opinion).
2) Led Zeppelin - They're just fantastic. I can listen to them for days on end without tiring out. I love everything about them.
3) Pink Floyd - Yeah they're pretty trippy and all, but their music is just so incredible. Comfortably Numb, Time, The Trial, Another Brick in the Wall, Brain Damage... everything, fantastic. Gilmour is one of my heroes as a guitarist. In fact, I'm listening to Pink Floyd right now. =P
4) Queen - Only publicized for Mercury's voice. They offer so much more than just that, with incredible guitar solos by May (listen to Brighton Rock and say that isn't genius...), amazing drumming by Roger Taylor, and some incredible basslines (Another One Bites the Dust for example) by John Deacon.
5) Eric Clapton (Cream, Derek & The Dominos, The Yardbirds) - Best guitarist. Ever. Ever. No competition. His live performances are mind-blowing and the emotion he puts into everything he plays, just a fantastic example of music at its finest.

Was seriously tempted to buy it but I had enough things to read already. ;D

Acoustic strings (of course, I have an electric, but I bought them for a friend and forgot to give them to him still =P), Crossroads Music Festival 2004, Cream Reunion Tour 2005 (best concert in history, aside from Rush), etc. What can I say? The man's a god.
