Yes, this is what you would call the 'rules' for webAddict. I don't like to call them rules though, they sound too strict. I prefer 'guidelines.' Some of them are actually rules, while some of them are guidelines, so read closely.
- All content must adhere to the Proboards TOS
Anything violating the TOS will be promptly locked and reviewed by the staff. - Please make an attempt to use proper grammar and spelling
Refrain from using chat speak or TYPING IN ALL CAPS unless it's warranted because it is annoying when used excessively. Using proper spelling and grammar will give your own posts more credibility as well. Though we won't enforce this as much because we know some people have a difficult time with spelling and grammar. - Don't be an ass
This applies to both members and staff. This means be considerate of the other members as well as staff, webAddict is a forum for all, not one. - No Spamming
Most forum games and spamming are frowned upon and can lead to a warning. Not all posts have to have some profound meaning but we can't all go around making mindless posts just for the sake of raising our post count can we? - No Advertising
Leave the advertising of other web sites or forums in your signature or in the Critique board? - Signatures must be appropriate
Refrain from having obnoxiously large signatures or annoying bright, flashing ones. - Don't swear excessively
We don't frown upon periodic swearing because it's part of the English language, but if you're cursing every other word, then we'll have problems. Hopefully, we're all mature enough to realize this. - All forms of bigotry are prohibited
Yes, all. We want everyone to feel welcome. - Debate Maturely
We strongly promote debate and discussion. However, in a debate, please back up your opinion with something other than the opinion. And in debates, once flaming and name-calling occurs, the topic will be locked. - Have fun!
While lame and cliché, the last rule is the have fun and to enjoy yourselves. After all, isn't that what we're all here to do? We don't feel the need to be 100% professional, because we're not. Meet some new people, learn some new things, laugh a little, that's the goal of webAddict.
Rules subject to change at the discretion of the staff.
