I am new!!

Hello, my name is Chris, nice to meet you all. I am 16 years old and i have been with proboards for a day. Your proly the first forum i have joined. I have not made any forums, or even looked at any other ones other then the main site. I have been useing photoshop for about 3 years but I suck. That is mainly my fault because everything I make sucks, and I never find any brushes I like. I don't get on the computer as much as I want, because I have two brothers, and three sisters, and parents witch all get on the computer. I have 6 laptops witch don't get used much, because i am to dumb to get the internment on them, I usually just type stories on them.

I want to eventually become a graphic designer, that is if i get better at photoshop, if I don't then I will just go to a trade school, or some shit, to get a hands on training or I can get a touter, or something. Yeah I'm really into graphics, allot more then a normal person should, I wake up everyday and watch tutorials, just to see the person make something amazingly awesome. I always look up new graphic stuff everyday, when i see it i am all like "I wish i could do some shit like that T.T". Well i hope to because a regular here on wA, i also hope to make lots of friends, and etc. That all i really have to say and LOTS MORE.

We're (wA) a friendly design community and we'd be more than happy to help you become more advanced in graphic design. We have quite the selection of tutorials here that are free to use and follow. Everyone here is quite friendly so you should be able to make plenty of friends. I can be your first!

Don't worry about grammar, alot of us have that problem.

And if you have any questions about how trade schools work, I'd be more than happy to explain any questions regarding High School Level Trade Schools if that's what you mean. 3rd year at one for me.

Oh, well totally Alcadiaz, i would love it for you to be my first friend here at wA, lol. I will be sure to stay here and post as much as i can.

I will be more then happy to ask you questions about trade school, that is when i have questions, but i am not able to get into trade school yet, because i am freshmen, and i have to wait tell i am sophomore to apply, and even then i have to have a 2.5 GPA, just to get in. So when and if that time comes i will get in touch with you.

I saw hat you guys did have allot of tuts, but i never really understood them. That my be because i never really understood all the things photoshop CS3 extended could do. So if i could get to learn all the properties of photoshop, i should be better to understand then tuts.

Blink thats not funny, you scard me at first, and i hope i do improve them.

I wouldn't worry about learning everything. Just learn a few things really well, apply them constantly until you get good. Then add something new. Trying to do everything at once will make things more difficulty.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I had a similar problem when I started with Photoshop. I'm still not that great, but I can do a few things really well.

Oh alright thanks, i will be sure to do that. It seem that i can do good abstract siggs, so i have been told, i will try to upload one, if i ever get a chance. But i think all of your work Blink is some of the coolest.

WOW, did anyone else just have a problem going here, because it would not let me come here at all.

Anyway, do you know a great place to find good brushes, because like i go do deviantart, but most look dumb. Are there types of brushes, like abstract, clouds, smoke, etc, and if so can someone point me the way to where i can find all the types?

For brushes I use deviantArt, but you have to be specific there..

And yes, there are different types, for example:

Abstract
Grunge
Vector
Splatter

and many more. but on deviantArt when you're searching you have to be specific but not too much, it's weird.

try typing in just "Abstract Brushes"

you'll find some good ones, but you gotta make sure they are for Photoshop.
