I am going to purchase a laptop soon, but need some help. I am leaning towards a Macbook, but want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything better.
I quite like the fact that it doesn't get viruses and it has all those programs preloaded on it. Has anyone had any issues with mac? If you could list some pro's and cons, that'd help. Thanks.
Also, if you use a laptop thats no more than $1000 that you like, link me and I will check it out. =)

I was looking into a laptop as well, since I'm going to be headed off to college in a year and a half. I'm almost dead set on a MacBook Pro. To use Apple's operating system, it shouldn't be all too hard to switch from using Windows. The interface is very intuitive and cleaner than Windows. And it doesn't crash as often and doesn't come with the devil Internet Explorer preloaded.

Yeah, the new OS leapord looks sick. Is Safari the web browser it comes with? I haven't heard much negativity about it.
Also, what are the major differences between pro and regular?

Pro is much faster. Has the possibility for a larger screen. Has some other features that I'm not quite sure of. And much more expensive. Safari is the default web browser but of course, you can use Firefox with Macs as well. Safari sometimes displays things differently than IE or FF.

I love these things, but I can't be sure I would ever get one. I am into gaming very much, and just heard they don't come with much RAM or good video cards, and most don't have the possibility to upgrade much.

But they do come with excellent RAM and video cards. There's a reason Macs are the graphic industry standard. If they had weak RAM/video card options, it wouldn't be the computer all the pros are using.
