What version should I get to make images and stuff? Theres so many different ones, so I'm not really sure. Can anyone help?

Ideally, Photoshop CS3.
But for serious designing, Photoshop 7, CS, CS2, or CS3 will do fine. Not Elements though.

Keep in mind that Photoshop CS3 is 1.1gb in size after installation, but runs faster that Photoshop CS2.

umm CS3 probably, has the most options. and i have tried CS, i dono i didnt liek that one much, to complicated for me for some reason, it was back when i was the biggest gfx noob though.

The layout for CS3 is harder aswell, in some respects, but if you haven't used CS2, then it shouldn't matter.

Or you could try GIMP, which is free. Or Paint Shop Pro, which costs much less.

GIMP and PS are extremely similar. Your skill level won't jump up by much if you switch to PS. However, there are many more tutorials available to a PS user but most PS tuts are applicable to GIMP as well.
