I'm in the middle of designing a website for my portfolio. My question to you is what do people look for when they view these sites. This doesn't just pertain to the designing aspects. I'm wanting you to include content ideas.

A layout that's not cluttered. The central thing for the portfolio should be your work and it should be easily accessible.
Other than that...um...blog? I dunno.

A nice on the eyes design is always best, along with an easy yet stylish navigation. As for content, Im not sure, it all depends on what you like, and what kind of people you want to visit your website.

Try to pack in as much content as you can with as many links as possible. Don't worry about a stylish template. A cluttered website will make up for any design flaws. And if you have enough pages no one will even be able to see your portfolio, it's a good way to hide it.
