What are your thoughts on underage drinking?
Do you think it is bad?
Should there be a bigger punishment on it?

I personally think they should follow the UK and lower the drinking age. A lot of us are going to do it anyway, if they lowered the the age, we could drink in more responsible places.

The law is just there to make you healthier but it's your body, do as you like.

It's not like people follow the under-21 law here in the States anyways. Lowering the age to drink legally will promote safer drinking practices, because, if kids want to drink, they'll find a way to obtain alcohol and by making it an "illegal" activity, it just promotes unsafe drinking.
Now what they really need to crack down on more is drinking + driving because that's when you're an idiot.

I think social drinking (lightly) is fine, especially if you're not driving anywhere (like, 17 year olds at parties that can drive), but downing like 15 shots in 10 minutes is completely stupid. Also, putting yourself and others in danger is irresponsible and I really don't believe that it should happen or be tolerated.

I think once you hit Highschool, there shouldn't be any limit as to who can drink. Just a limit to how much you can have. A way to check that is any high schooler is allowed to be checked without a warrant for their alcohol level. If it exceeds the limit, they get a citation or something.
I had a cup of beer last night at a concert in New York, and apart from a minor headache, I was fine. Of course I didn't drive and if I could, I wouldn't. We should stop putting money towards catching people who make/distribute fake id's and spend it one drunk driving awareness.

No matter what the age is, people will be getting pissed out their face. With the legal age being 18 in the UK, it's not that good, we need to actually put it to 21.

And I agree about the whatever the age part, cause it's true. But I also think having the age lower kinda makes alcohol look more appetizing to kids cause it's "forbidden" and "illegal" which, of course, makes them want to drink even more.
