What do you think are some current design trends going on around the web? What do you think will be a popular trend in the future?
Right now, a trend I am seeing is banners stretching the full width of forums. Looks professional and gives the forum a smooth look.

Yeah, banner stretching the full width of a forum is being used a lot lately, and for good reason. It does look really good when done well.

Yeah its a popular one. I remember when no one would look at it if you did it.
I think were gonna be seeing alot more post/miniprofile mods around

Knowing fads people will whore every bit of this skin somehow. Yeah, banners stretching the width of the forum are popular, and they do look quite good actually. I sort of joined in a few months ago just before they boomed  |

Floral patterns used as background are getting popular right now. I really like that trend.

I've noticed darker skins have become more popular lately.. more and more forums are revamping their forums with a dark skin.

Stretch banner will be a new trend. Gloss is also being whored out more and more.

A lot of people are wanting do do interface these days. I hate interface, people usually over do it, or don't do it well enough.

A lot of people are wanting do do interface these days. I hate interface, people usually over do it, or don't do it well enough. I don't really like that style except for a few exceptions. If you look at some well known interface designers, their designs could never work as functioning designs. It's basically eye-candy. DemonDan666 is an exception though. That guy's interfaces are amazing.  |
