The lines are well done - definitely makes me think of light.
The background is my problem with this. Currently it's just a gradient and it needs some more texture/detail/affects... anything. I'm not too fond of pokadots either, but they do look alright in this peice.
I think you need a different font too. What you have just doesn't look quite right.
But looks cool. Nice work on this.
