I recently read an article which I can't find atm, but it was about a guy suing another guy because of an online scam. He said the guy somehow hacked into his Second Life and stole all his money, transferring it into his account. The defendant says because it's a role play and an online "game" he shouldn't be penalized. But the plantiff is saying that it isn't a game because Second Life is all real money. Who do you think is at fault here? I honestly never knew Second Life was real money. Thats pretty cool, but it's also stupid. I bet hacking is easy. Found it! I think. Clickeh!

The hacker is at fault cause the money in Second Life is transferable to real money. Second Life is pretty dumb though, because...welll...there's no Pokemon and you can't blow stuff up.

Well the money is the game is not real so there for he should be able to sue him. you can sue someone about something that is not real right? Only punshiment the hacker should get is being ban from the game. about the only way to deal with it.

I just think it's funny that people have really became so bitter, that they will fight over anything. Reminds me of stray dogs and meat.

It actually is real money. You trade in your real $$$ for Second Life money or Habbo money. I think this is the story. Clickeh!

Thats weird, I wouldn't waste money on something like that... Thats like paying for a game like Runescape when you have a free version you can play, There really is no point to it. Now about him suing him, Since it was real money I think its only fair to sue over it although online games aren't really my idea of spending money to some people that kinda stuff is big. I think he deserves to win... Edit: What in the hell was he thinking... $6,000 of real money... Hopefully i read that wrong

No, you read it right. People take these games very seriously. Is there really a difference between using fake money and actual on money on a virtual RPG? I definitley don't think so. I dont think i would spend $6,000 on virtual pixels of items... Kinda a waste if you ask me. Just an opinion.

Some people waste a ton more then that on a nice car, maybe he just prefers this to other things in life. I really don't see a problem with spending money on a virtual game. I do think taking it should be considered stealing. I know how sad I've been when people have taken Runescape Items from me, this must be a million time worse.
