Points: your opinion

Hey all,

Wondering what's your opinion on the point system, and if you think it's been fair so far.

We haven't had any purchases yet, but you are all still pretty poor  .
Just wait till we get poker going though  .

Point system was a great idea to have to the forum. Just once members are able to get more points and faster then you will start to see the shop start be active.


Once we have poker and stuff like that when things will move faster.

yeah i love the ides, great way to get people activ, the only thing is that you guys dont see all the stuff people do so you cant get them points for every thin, for exaple like you said commenting on peoples sigs and stuff will get you points, but alot of people are always posting in there, and i know my points dont go up. but yeah like you said we are all really poor, and we need a faster way to amke cash.

i would get in the poker game, i dont know how to play poker so yeah....

we should be like ipb and start selling fr's and lr's.

and i think everyone should get 50 points for xmas. :]

Part of the problem is that mods can't give points, so it's a lot of pressure on the admins (and me).

I usually do a mass giving out once a week or so, where I go through the boards. So don't worry, I'll get to ratings.

I think it's a good idea. I haven't seen any Proboard successfully implement it, and I think this forum makes that a first. You can tell it was successful by how many Feedback threads there are as opposed to how many there were. You're getting more ideas on how to improve the forum now. People are participating in places they didn't participate before, and doing so more frequently.

The system is great, and it really shows in the quality (and quantity) of posts.

From what I've seen its very different, and thats good.

Most forums make it so you get points by posting. I like the way points work here and the shop is a nice idea. I just need to get some points

yeah mayn money codes go down the drain on most PB's and this forum really is useing it well. kodos on that.

but yeah like nick said, maybe we could make a board titled Personal shops, and then people could put up things like sigs and codes and stuff, and put them up for sale for people to buy with their points, and then you can just edit your first post to add new things, or just start a new thred for every new item. which ever.

Just a heads up, we are looking at the point system and it is probably going to have some changes.

Currently it's not very fair or consistent, we hope to change this soon. The shop will also have some changes.
