Do you think it's a good idea to have a rollover for all images on a proboard. It can dramatically slow down load times, but I must say it can make a forum much nicer.
The new proboard support for an example, even the smilies have rollovers (thinking it might be a fancy code rather then a seperate image though).
It's also a pain to design.... where do you draw the line? Post icons but not ubbcs? Gotta stop somewhere...

PBS is a code, just changes the opacity Menu bar yes, then past that is a bit stupid tbh.

Yeah, menu bar is good for rollovers the rest is just pointless IMO, and time consuming for the designer. Furthermore, it slows the loading time.

Yeah I was thinking it wasn't every image changes, just opacity...
I think rollovers can be good if utilized well. If you just do a rollover for the sake of doing it on some random image, then why bother? It can disturb the tranquility of some forums.

There is acually a trick to make rollovers load faster, it's just all in the coding and most codes out there don't use it.

For menus, yes. For most other things, no. Reason? It's more user-friendly to have as few moving things on the board as you can. I don't want a board where whenever I hover over something, an image changes.
I actually thought of making the menu buttons at wA rollovers, but then I thought about it more and realized it was pretty pointless.

Thought so. I would've only maybe add a rollover to the PM image. Everything else looks fine.
