Highways are considered advanced there? In my opinion, they're the easiest road to drive on. All you have to worry about really is falling asleep at the wheel, which can be easy enough to avoid.
Still, I have my learner's permit in the states for a few more months. I'm looking forward to being able to drive places by myself.

Thanks for the congrats everyone Highways are considered advanced there? In my opinion, they're the easiest road to drive on. All you have to worry about really is falling asleep at the wheel, which can be easy enough to avoid. Still, I have my learner's permit in the states for a few more months. I'm looking forward to being able to drive places by myself. I think they're easy, but at the speeds you're going if you make a mistake it's fatal. Would you want to sit in the passenger seat as your new student takes you on the highway? Congratulations on your DL's. I remember when I first got my DL, I got in a little over my head and I got them taken... I get them back in January, but I got them suspended. Be careful out there i've had my license for over two years going on three soon. but yea congrats on getting it, that is one step closer for more freedom ^^ Yeah, I feel like braveheart. I've had my license for something like 7 or 8 months. Got it 2 months after I turned 16. In the states, you could get a learner's permit when you're 15 1/2, which is basically the same thing as your G1 license. After 6 months, you can get your actual license. And a year after you get your actual license, you're finally allowed to drive minors. >_> So there's two "actual" licenses? Congrats man. I'm a year past when I could've gotten my permit and half a year past when I could've gotten my licence. I'm too lazy to go try for it right now. I have no need for it for one and I almost always have rides to places anyways. You going to regret not getting it. You really sound like you're making excuses. At least get your G1 (or whatever you call it where you are) so you can get your G2 when you decide you want it, rather then waiting a year.

My first time driving, I felt I could have easily driven a highway. The turns aren't bad, it's just knowing a good speed to trail the car ahead of you at. Not to say that any new student should start out in anything other than parking lots or small roads, which is what I've started out with.

Nah there's only one actual license. Except they withhold some privileges until a year after you get your license.

I got my permit in August, a month after i turned 15 (mainly because I was getting screwed over by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Waiting two hours in line and then be told that it's 5 o'clock and they are done for the day, don't ask.). I can't wait to get my license, I get my dad's Cobra Mustang 420 hp ftw.

I get my dad's Cobra Mustang 420 hp ftw. DMV sucks though. Someone should write a song about how much it sucks.
