You code, correct? If so, why did you start, how did you progress (language to language, which ones did you choose to start with), and do you enjoy coding?

You code, correct? If so, why did you start, how did you progress (language to language, which ones did you choose to start with), and do you enjoy coding? Really sorry but this is going to be long. Don't feel obliged to read it all. Alrighty, in Grade 6 I saw in the scholastic book magazine a CD called "Learn To Program Basic". It stated something about making games, and it got me really excited. At the time me and my friends were into Paper and Pencil games (very elaborate games we'd play on paper, taking turns every day at lunch. Was really the highlight of my childhood). I showed my friends and we all drooled at the thought of making computer games. The description made it look so easy. So six of us chipped in and bought it, planning to burn copies for everyone. My parents had a rule about using burned Cds so I got the original , and it ended up no one else getting it . I started learning what coding was really about then, and would spend hours and hours seeing what I could come up with. This was before my creativity box was broken from all the Media. I was into arrays and some object oriented before grade 9. In Highschool for programming class we were given VB.net to take home. In a week I was already past the school curriculum. About this time I got into proboards and slowly took the path we all take, learning html, css, building your first website, etc. Similar story next year in school with Java. I felt like the class was dumbed down. Since then I make minigames all the time, many of which I have had friends request. I started a huge RPG called Tyro (TyroGame.com), but quit when I couldn't figure out how to get signed applets working (was programmed in JavaScript). The the engine and many graphics were entirely completed. No languages really suffice I feel, there are parts I hate about them all. But I love coding and coming up with new ideas and this is probably the job I will end up with. I just hate how school turns it into something so boring. I may post some of my old games here some time. Certainly, I love animals. Sometimes I watch the birds on my way home from work and people stair at me Like I'm crazy. I'd love to have a fish or any animal for that matter.
Some great questions guys. Even if you're not reading the answers I enjoy thinking about this stuff. Thanks.

Who are you closer to Freinds or family? Family. I'm a bit of a loner really. I few close friends, but I'm with my family a lot more. Things might change in a few years though

If you read, what are some of your favorite authors? Orson Scott Card Ted Dekker Randy Alcorn and too many others to mention. I read a ton, about a novel per week. A novel every few days in the summer.

I'm not too good at editing proboards with Javascript. But overall, coding. Design is just something I learned along the way. Programming is where my hear is at. Good question

You haven't gotten a joke question yet. I feel obligated.
If a tree falls in the middle of a forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If so, how do you know this and what evidence supports your standpoint?

If so, how do you know this and what evidence supports your standpoint? Sound is a disturbance of mechanical energy that propagates through matter as a longitudinal wave (fact). So does this wave still exist if no one is around? Yes, because sound waves do more then just reach our ears. They affect matter as well. A big base can push a person back, and a high scream can shatter glass. So even though no one is around, matter still exists to receive the implications the sound may have on it. Thus, sound (a disturbance of mechanical energy) is still made. Now if a sound could be created with no matter in range I beleive no sound would exist. Hope that makes sense. And btw, Ninjas or Pirates is a joke question ;D

I think I read Alcorn a couple times, but I can't think of the specific titles. What's your favorite book by each of those three authors?
